Most site plans begin with a cleared lot. Ours begin with a survey of every mature tree worth keeping.
When a canopy is treated as infrastructure rather than an obstacle, it changes everything downstream — foundation type, orientation, even where residents naturally want to gather.
Canopy Retreat is our clearest example of this thinking in practice, and one we'll keep learning from as it nears completion.
